Gift Guide for the Outdoor Junkie

It’s that time of year again and we want to make this holiday season full of experiences instead of junk, so here’s a gift guide to help get your loved ones outside for their next adventure.

Products for the adventurous ones:

Outdoor Down Blanket- You know this will be top of the list for winter! Roofnest poof blanket is like a puffy, technical sleeping bag without zippers and velcro. Curl up with this blanket in your Roofnest or by the fire or wrap it around you and a friend while you’re stargazing or watching an outdoor movie or show.

Wool layered clothing- A good base layer makes all the difference when you’re out in the cold. Having a good pair of wool leggings and a shirt is a must if you’re planning on spending time outside this winter. Personally, I am a big fan of the company Iksplor as it’s women-owned and their colors are awesome.

First aid kit- This one can be tricky, because if the person you are buying the gift for is a seasoned traveler, they most likely have one, but to be honest, you can never go wrong with this! Better to have extra than none at all :)

Quick drying towel - Lava linens have some amazingly soft towels made of flax and hemp, they dry quickly and they’re pretty good looking too.

Multitool-you never know when a multitool will come in handy. A must for every adventure enthusiast! Personally, I love a leatherman, but there are so many options out there, so depending on your budget and your needs, you can decide what fits.

Water filtration system/bottle- We love the LIfesaver jerrycan and the hydroblu personal bottles. Another option is buying a 3L hydrapack and changing out the cap for a lifestraw cap.

Kid Carrier-Recently we got this awesome little carrier called Trail.Magik- it attaches to any 30L+ bag and it stows away really small. Making it perfect for the ambitious toddler and the parent that knows that eventually their kid is going to want to be carried :)

Camping table and chairs- When space is limited, it’s really important to have good gear that can fold up small. That’s why I love Cliq Chairs- they fold up tiny, are easy to open (literally just swing open, no assembly necessary!) and they are comfortable too. Feel free to use our code Twinsonwheels15 for 15% off your next order.

Hammock- let’s be honest, no campsite is complete without a hammock! You can never have too many, making this a perfect gift!

Dutch oven- This is something most people don’t think about and that’s what makes it a great gift. Most likely when you’re going camping you’ll make a fire, so why not use it for cooking? Get a nice size dutch over, and include maybe a cooking book too while you’re at it. Lodge or campchef are both great brands that I highly recommend.

Portable espresso machine- This one is for all the coffee lovers who can’t live without their espresso! Outin is a portable electric espresso maker and is perfect!
